Where to go out partying in Palma according to the area

Mallorca's nightlife is not random: each area has its own character and its own clientele, and choosing the right area can make for a great night.

Paseo Marítimo, Palma

This is the area with the highest concentration of large venues on the island, next to the port. Here they are Fitz, in the old Tito's building; Social Club, under the Hotel Victoria Gran Meliá; Boulevard Marítimo, with its two rooms; and MarSalada, within the Club de Mar. You can walk from one to the other, which is exactly what so many people do on a Saturday. We explain it in more detail in the Paseo Marítimo guide.

Santa Catalina

Palma's trendy neighbourhood for dining and drinks, and where it is Sala Luna, in Plaça del Vapor. It's the natural choice if you're already having dinner in the area: it's within walking distance. More places at the nightclubs of Santa Catalina.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently asked questions about nightclubs in Mallorca

How many nightclubs are there in Palma de Mallorca?

Palma boasts the majority of the island's nightlife, with the offerings concentrated mainly in three areas: the Paseo Marítimo, home to several of the larger clubs; Santa Catalina, with a more neighbourhood feel; and Can Pastilla, near Playa de Palma. There are also several large venues on the outskirts of the city. This guide shows you the clubs, their locations, music, and atmosphere.

Which nightclub in Mallorca should you choose based on the type of music?

It depends on what you're looking for. For electronic music, house, and techno, Amok and Lunita are the go-to venues. For premium club-style house, Fitz and Social Club are the places to go. If you prefer mainstream music or reggaeton, Boulevard works well because it has two rooms with distinct styles. And for mainstream music in a more local setting, Sala Luna is the place to go.

What time do nightclubs open in Mallorca?

Most clubs in Palma open in the early hours, between 11:30 pm and 12:30 am, and close around 6:00 am. The exception is the afternoon parties, which operate in the late afternoon: Sala Luna is open on Fridays from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Each party may have its own opening time, so it's best to check the specific event before going.

How much does it cost to get into a nightclub in Mallorca?

There isn't a single price. Entry costs vary depending on the venue, the day of the week, and especially the lineup: a resident DJ set doesn't cost the same as a party with an international DJ. Prices also change depending on whether you buy tickets in advance or at the door. The price and entry conditions are listed in each party's schedule.

What is the minimum age to enter nightclubs in Mallorca?

The legal minimum age is 18 throughout Spain, and proof of age is required, such as a valid national identity card (DNI), foreign resident's card (NIE), or passport. Some specific parties set a higher minimum age depending on the event format, and events geared towards a more mature audience naturally attract those over 30. It's advisable to check the specific requirements of each event.

Are there nightclubs open in Mallorca outside of the summer?

Yes. Summer has more events and more venues open at the same time, but Mallorca's nightlife doesn't shut down the rest of the year: Palma's venues maintain a program throughout the year, mainly concentrated on Fridays and Saturdays. The schedule is updated weekly with what's currently open.
